At Briegan, we take a proactive approach to safety, helping to ensure a safe, healthy, injury-free environment. Everyone on our management team pledges to enforce Briegan’s Safety Program by practicing and demonstrating safe construction techniques and correcting team members when they encounter unsafe acts.
Here is what you can expect from Briegan:

  • A Safety Director dedicated to planning, directing and implementing Briegan’s Safety Program
  • Continuous evaluation and elevation of our quality and safety standards
  • Ongoing company-wide training, including targeted new-hire safety orientation and weekly tool-box talks
  • Meeting or exceeding OSHA’s specific concrete construction standards
  • Detailed pre-installation planning and jobsite-specific training
  • Observation and period review for all co-workers in the field
  • Annual Safety Week celebration

Safety Requirements

  • All hourly co-workers are required to complete the OSHA 10-hour class
  • Project superintendents are required to have OSHA 30-hour class
  • All co-workers are required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • All co-workers are required to have flagging, rigging and signal, railway training, equipment training as required based on project needs.

  • 2019 Year EMR average was .58
  • Minimum of 130 MHRS per co-worker of safety training annually
  • Only 3 lost-time incidents in the last 5 years
